Monday August 13, 2018

Today we went to a Visitor's Center Training meeting at 7:30.  These are held weekly and we're invited to attend but it is not mandatory.  It was informative and we are glad we went.  I got a Visitor's Center Muumuu because we are all singing in a choir that is performing at a fireside next Sunday with our Mission President.  Elder Allen the director of the Visitor's Center believes this choir is going great places!  We'll see.  But I love my muumuu and just have to hem it to get it ready for Sunday.
After we have our meeting we drove over to Taco Bell and ordered 2 Tacos and 1 chicken burrito for our lunch tomorrow for the Elders and Sisters going home.  They will come here, attend a session of the Temple then meet us at the Pavilion for lunch at the Cemetery next to the Temple.  Then they go to the PCC and then fly home at night.

I'm baking cookies, cutting up watermelon and we'll have bottles of cold water for them to go with their meal.

After our time in Laie, we drove back to Sam's Club and Costco and a grocery store to get things for the meals we are doing this next week.  We are putting a lot of miles on this little car.  We came home, and did some laundry then went back to our two FHE at night.

At the PCC Family Home Evening we played charades and then sang farewell to a Sister who was leaving the PCC.  Sad even though I didn't know her, I know our time will be here before we know it.

After we left there we ran over to Kahuku to the YSA FHE and caught them again running around playing a game.  This young woman Alora, is a whirlwind of activity.  She plans all the Family home evenings around a game they love to play, last night was a scavenger hunt.  The she likens it to the gospel or asks us how to liken it to the gospel.  The guys groan at the game but are the first to get really "into" it.  She is amazing, I love her!  Then Sister Cho got transferred from her companionship.  She is just moving one apartment over so will still be at the Visitor's Center too.  I took a quick picture of her after Alora had given her a farewell cake.  The other pictures are just for me to keep of the evening...memories!
