Wednesday Aug 1, 2018

Wednesday night we went over to the Geronio's house for the Wednesday night dinner with the Elders and Sisters and Brother and Sister Nicoles and their four granddaughters here from the mainland.  We had been asked by President Hippolite to explain to Nick about lineage and Patriarchal blessings.  We had a nice spagetti dinner and talked with Nick a bit.  He's been a member for 2 years and has studied many religions around the world depending on where he lived.  He said our religion makes the most sense and he likes the living Prophet and the importance of family.  He is anxious to get his wife in the church. Nicki opened up to us better last night.  She is such a good person, fun and a great mom.  She said she'd be a church on Sunday.

The parrots were inside as it was very windy and they are just learning to fly.  The love bird had been swept up in the wind to a tall tree.  We could see her but not get to her.  Their daughter was very upset but they all seemed to know the bird would be back.  The child had bonded with the bird and I guess that makes a close tie.  Eventually the bird flew down, hit the canopy over the wedding setup, bounced to the ground and the little girl scooped her up and put her in her cage.  Whew.  We were all relieved!

After we left there we went back home and walked across the street to see the sun set from Sunset Beach.  Too many clouds.  But I took some pictures so I'd remember the walk down our lane to the beach.  We live three houses at the end of the drive.
