Today we checked Elder's apartments! We were a little hesitant, having not done it before but it was easy. All of them were clean but I must say, we sure appreciate our living place. I am so grateful it is beautiful, bug-free, and has such nice things included. I love that it's part of a home, we have grass, chickens, two beautiful dogs, and even the noisy rooster that wakes us up each morning around 5! These wonderful Elders live in meager apartments, most with no closets just portable wardrobe things to hang clothes in and lousy twin beds. They truly do sacrifice for two years! I will always be glad to feed them when I see what they have to work with even in preparing a meal, or storing the food to prepare it. Most of them had water, a Watermelon, and ramen. Simple life. BTW they all got good marks from us, they were clean enough for this mama!
After we stopped at Foodland to purchase a few things in case the Hurricane really does hit us, then on to the library. Elder Sanft said he thought he'd miss his TV but he hasn't once, not even for the news, and we do have a good TV. Maybe he can give up football too????
We came home, tried to swim but the waves were too rough, I had to have help getting out by Ramon, so that only lasted about 10 minutes. Then on to the kitchen to finish preparing to have the Sisters over for dinner, Sister Cardenas and Cho. I forgot to take a picture but will for sure do that in the future. We had nice dinner and visit with them, we even had corn on the cob and watermelon with our meal. After I walked down and got some good pictures of the sunset at Sunset but an iphone doesn't do it justice.
